Our tables are triple polyurethane clear coated to prevent the wood from soaking up moisture and causing stains. But you still need to provide proper care to ensure the table lasts. The polyurethane base is the same used on furniture, so you can expect the waxy looking stains as if you left a glass sitting on your coffee table. A mild soap and warm water should be all that is needed to clean the table. No harsh abrasives should ever be used. Before storing the table, at a minimum you should wipe it down and dry it. Although our tables have corner protection to keep them from sticking together when folded, the possibility still remains, especially when other objects are stacked on top of the table.
